Throwing for 40 or more passing touchdowns in a single NFL season remains one of the rarest statistical feats in the sport. It’s so rare that, through the 2025 season, just 13 quarterbacks had accomplished the feat. It signals elite accuracy, volume, protection, and an offense built to score through the air.
In the long history of the league, only a handful of quarterbacks have attained the feat, and even fewer names have done it more than once. The evolution of the sport to a pass-heavy style has made it somewhat more common in recent times, yet it remains an exclusive club.
