Ten (10) newly promoted clubs are set to announce their presence in the Access Bank Division One League for the 2025/26 season, adding fresh energy and competition to Ghana’s second-tier football league.

The clubs, spread across three zones, will compete for honours and survival in the upcoming season, as they aim to establish themselves in the country’s highly competitive second-tier league.

Zone 1A and 1B, which include teams from the three Northern Regions and the Brong Ahafo Region, will feature Bolga All Stars, Exponential FC, Sankara FC and Berekum Arsenal. The return of Berekum Arsenal adds a nostalgic element to the zone, given the club’s storied history in Ghanaian football.

Zone Two, encompassing the Ashanti, Western, and Central Regions, welcomes Ebony FC, Nsupon Fidelity, and Police Nations FC. These clubs will aim to establish themselves in a zone known for its fierce rivalries and passionate fan base.

In Zone Three, covering the Greater Accra, Eastern, and Volta Regions, the spotlight will be on Great Ambition FC, Golden Warriors and the return of former Premier League side WAFA (West African Football Academy). WAFA’s re-entry into competitive league football is expected to add depth and experience to the zone.

The 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 26, 2025, and will run through to May 11, 2026. The dates are in alignment with the 23rd FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026, ensuring that all elite domestic competitions conclude before the commencement of the global showpiece.
