Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has provided an update on Emiliano Martinez after the goalkeeper went off injured in the win over Everton. He revealed that the 34-year-old was conscious when he left the stadium and was undergoing tests at the hospital.
Martinez collided with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite in the second half, and both players were left flat on the pitch. While the Englishman sat up quickly, underwent concussion tests, and got back on his feet, the Argentine goalkeeper needed extensive medical attention.
