Mikel Arteta has confirmed Ezri Konsa came off in Arsenal’s 2-1 Champions League win at Slavia Praha because of ‘some issues’, rather than for tactical reasons. The centre-back was seen feeling his knee during the first half, according to the Evening Standard.
Konsa was withdrawn on the hour mark at the Fortuna Arena with Arsenal 2-0 up through first-half goals from Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres. The 29-year-old had been booked early in the second period and started alongside Gabriel Magalhaes three days after the 1-0 win at Liverpool.
