The curtain comes down on the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday with plenty still at stake across the country.

While Medeama SC have already secured the title, the race for the top four and the battle for survival promise a dramatic final day.

Hearts of Oak vs Medeama SC

Third-placed Hearts of Oak head into the final weekend desperate to secure a top-four finish after a difficult run of form that has seen them win only one of their last five matches.

The Phobians have struggled badly in attack, scoring a league-low 21 goals, but their outstanding defensive record – just 13 goals conceded – has kept them competitive.

Hearts will seek inspiration from their strong home record against Medeama at the Accra Sports Stadium, having won four of their last five home league meetings against the Mauve and Yellow.

Medeama, however, travel to the capital  confidence after sealing the title in emphatic style with a thrilling 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions. Having scored a league-high 50 goals and boasting the second-best away record, the champions will be eager to end a memorable campaign on a high.

Berekum Chelsea vs Bechem United

Berekum Chelsea welcome regional rivals Bechem United in strong form after winning four of their last five matches. Sitting ninth with 47 points, Chelsea are targeting a top-half finish and will rely on their impressive home form, having lost only twice all season at the Golden City Park.

Bechem United, level on points in 10th, arrive boosted by a morale-lifting 3-1 win over Asante Kotoko. Despite their struggles away from home this season, the Hunters are unbeaten in their last three away matches and remain determined to secure a fifth consecutive top-half finish.

Asante Kotoko vs Swedru All Blacks

Asante Kotoko will look to recover from a damaging defeat at Bechem United when they host relegation-threatened Swedru All Blacks at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors appear out of the top-four race amid an inconsistent campaign but have been formidable at home, winning nine of their 16 matches while scoring 30 goals.

For Swedru All Blacks, survival remains the priority. Sitting just one point above the relegation zone, the visitors know anything less than a positive result could jeopardise their top-flight status after a difficult return season.

Young Apostles vs FC Samartex 1996

Young Apostles face one of the biggest matches in their history as they fight to preserve their Premier League status. Just one point above the relegation zone, the Wenchi-based side know victory could secure survival for a third straight season.

Their hopes will be boosted by an exceptional home record, including five consecutive home wins.

FC Samartex, meanwhile, remain firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish following their impressive win over Hearts of Oak. The Timber Giants will hope to end the season strongly despite recent struggles on the road.

Vision FC vs Aduana FC

Vision FC boosted their survival hopes with a crucial victory over Nations FC and now enter the final round three points above the relegation zone.

The Tema-based side have impressed at home this season and know another strong performance could guarantee safety.

Aduana FC, however, arrive chasing a top-four finish after returning to winning ways against Young Apostles.

Despite their recent struggles away from home, the Dormaa-based side remain firmly in contention for continental qualification.

Karela United vs Nations FC

Karela United have quietly enjoyed a solid campaign and could still finish higher in the standings after another strong run of form.

Their home record in Tamale has been exceptional, with only one defeat all season, making them favourites against relegation-threatened Nations FC.

For Nations, the stakes could not be higher. Sitting inside the bottom three, survival may depend entirely on securing victory while hoping results elsewhere go in their favour.

Gold Stars vs Eleven Wonders

Second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars will look to finish strongly after seeing their title hopes fade last weekend.

Back at the fortress of Duns Park — where they remain unbeaten all season — the Miners will be overwhelming favourites against already relegated Eleven Wonders.

For Wonders, it has been a campaign to forget, with the club enduring a miserable return to the top flight and setting an unwanted record for defeats in a single season.

Basake Holy Stars vs Dreams FC

Basake Holy Stars aim to finish in the top half after an inconsistent run dropped them into 11th place. Their impressive home form offers optimism heading into Sunday’s clash.

Dreams FC, however, arrive in red-hot form after winning four of their last five matches. Sitting just one point outside the top four, the “Still Believe” lads know victory could cap a remarkable late surge and potentially secure continental football.

A final day filled with high stakes

With top-four places still up for grabs and survival battles unresolved, the final round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League promises tension, drama, and excitement across multiple venues.

For some, Sunday offers a chance to celebrate success. For others, it is a fight for survival. And for many, the final whistle could define an entire season.
