Alex Bregman’s wife, Reagan, and his son Knox were in the stands cheering for the Cubs‘ slugger when he belted a two-run homer, fueling the Chicago team’s big 12-6 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday afternoon.
After a slow start to the game, Bregman quickly loaded the bases in the second inning before the 3x All-Star scored on Michael Conforto’s sacrifice fly, which made the score 1-1. Subsequently, the Cubs scored two more runs in the third inning as Suzuki singled and Busch scored after Hoerner hit a short fly ball to right field, and the Cubs got a force out on the play.
Eventually, Bregman turned the game around as he hit the 1-2 changeup pitch from Pirates’ Khristian Curtis, which led to his 25th HR blast of the season and 16th homer ever since the All-Star Game. To celebrate the moment, Reagan shared a sweet selfie with her son Knox as the two celebrated Bregman’s dominant display from the stands. Reagan was seen donning a baseball cap while the little Bregman was sporting a Cubs jersey.
