Rafael Jodar recently received John Isner’s full support after his latest ball kid controversy at the Shanghai Masters. As the Spaniard was hit with a code violation for swearing at a ball boy in frustration, Isner asked fans online to ‘chill out’.
On Wednesday, October 14, Jodar was in action in Shanghai, taking on Botic Van de Zandschulp for his round of 16 encounter. During the tense match, the Spaniard lost his cool at the end of a particularly long rally and reportedly shouted at the ball kid to ‘give me the f**king towel, dammit’. The umpire quickly called the 20-year-old out for his behaviour, and the rising star was subsequently penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct.
