Two former Premier League sides, New Edubiase United and Elmina Sharks, will renew their rivalry on Matchday One of the Access Bank Division One League. The two giants will lock horns at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi as they begin a new chapter in their quest for Premier League promotion. Both teams have been striving to return to the topflight, but their efforts have been thwarted for years. New Edubiase United suffered relegation from the topflight in 2016, while Elmina Sharks dropped to the second tier three seasons ago.

This match presents an opportunity for both clubs to showcase their might in the Access Bank Division One League and battle for a ticket to the Premier League.

Also in Zone Two, former league champions Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs will host city rivals UCC Youngsters at the Robert Mensah Stadium on Sunday. Ebusua Dwarfs won the Ghana Premier League in 1966 and followed up with an MTN FA Cup crown two years later, but their top-flight campaign came to an excruciating end in 2021.

Another match that promises to be pulsating is the clash between King Faisal and Skyy FC at the Ejisu Okese Park. Newly promoted side Nsuopon Fidelity will travel to Ofinso to play PAC Academy, while Police National faces off against another new entrant, Ebony FC, at the Tuba AstroTurf on Monday.

These matches promise to bring thrilling action and intense competition as teams’ battle for promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
