The Football Association has named 20 promising referees from its Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy to officiate at the 2025 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Tournament, reaffirming its commitment to developing the next generation of match officials.

The group, comprising both centre and assistant referees, will gain valuable experience and exposure as they oversee matches in this prestigious youth competition.

Set for September 19–27, 2025, the tournament will be staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram and will feature U-17 teams from all ten Regional Football Associations alongside two GFA Elite Academies.

Now in its fifth edition, the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Tournament serves as a premier platform for discovering and nurturing young football talent. Scouts and national team coaches are expected to attend in search of future stars for Ghana’s junior national sides.

The football community is eagerly anticipating an exciting and competitive tournament that showcases not only the nation’s brightest young players but also the emerging refereeing talent poised to shape the future of Ghanaian football.
