IPL 2026: DC vs PBKS, Match 35 - Top player battles to watch out for

Delhi Capitals (DC) take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the iconic Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, April 25. Both teams head into this clash with contrasting momentum this season.

DC have had a mixed run so far, struggling for consistency despite flashes of brilliance. Led by Axar Patel, the side has shown promise with the bat through players like KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs, while their bowling unit, featuring Kuldeep Yadav, has delivered in patches.

PBKS, on the other hand, have been in outstanding form, emerging as one of the most dominant teams this season. Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the side has looked well-balanced, with consistent contributions from both batting and bowling departments. Their top order, including Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, has been in fine touch, while the bowling attack led by Arshdeep Singh has delivered under pressure.

With the Arun Jaitley Stadium known for producing high-scoring encounters, DC will look to make the most of home conditions.

In a crucial top-order battle, KL Rahul will face the left-arm swing of Arshdeep Singh in the powerplay. Rahul’s ability to anchor and accelerate makes him a key figure for DC, while Arshdeep’s knack for striking early with the new ball adds intrigue to this contest.

The two have faced each other four times in T20s, where Rahul has scored 42 runs off 33 balls at a strike rate of 127.27, while being dismissed twice.
