On Thursday, a delegation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), led by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, extended its outreach in Kumasi to key stakeholders in Ghana football with a visit to former Executive Council Member Madam Habiba Atta Forson and the President of newly promoted Division One League side, Ebony FC.

The visit formed part of the Association’s continued efforts to engage, support, and acknowledge the contributions of its members and partners within the football fraternity.

Led by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the delegation called on Madam Habiba Atta Forson at her residence. She was in the company of Masawudu Ahmed, President of newly promoted Division one League side Ebony FC who is also part of Fabulous Ladies, a female club owned by Habiba Atta.

Madam Atta Forson, during her tenure as an Executive Council Member, also served as Chairperson of the Black Queens Management Committee as well as the Women’s FA Cup Committee, where she played a pivotal role in promoting women’s football and developing the Women’s FA Cup competition. The delegation commended her for her years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to Ghana football.

The delegation congratulated Ebony FC for their qualification into the Division One League. The GFA President praised the club’s hard work and determination, urging them to maintain high standards as they prepare for life in the Division One League.

The visit underscored the GFA’s commitment to maintaining close relationships with both current and former administrators, as well as supporting clubs and individuals making strides in Ghana football.

The delegation included Vice President Mark Addo, Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong, GFA Chief of Staff Michael Osekere and National Juvenile Committee member Abdulai Amidu (Camarat).
