GFA concludes scout interview for Regional roles
SHARE

The Football Association has successful completed the first phase of interviews for the appointment of Regional Scouts.

This initiative is part of the FA’s  commitment to strengthen its Talent Identification and Development regime across all regions of Ghana.

Out of the number of Scouts who applied for the roles across the 10 Regional Football Associatios, 41 were shortlisted and interviewed during this phase.

The focus was on assessing candidates’ leadership qualities, technical expertise, and vision for scouting in their respective regions.

The interviews were conducted under the supervision of Mr. Papa Nii Lartey, Head of Talent Identification and Development and Head of Scouts at the GFA, alongside FIFA Talent Coach McLaren Stuart. Their involvement ensured a rigorous process fully aligned with international best practices.

The second phase will finalise the results and determine the appointment of regional Lead Scouts, who will play a critical role in identifying in each of the ten football regions of Ghana and nurturing their football talent for the national teams.

The GFA remains committed to building a robust scouting network that will provide young footballers across Ghana with opportunities to showcase their potential and progress in the sport.

The Association looks forward to concluding the process and announcing the Regional Scouts for them to immediately commence their work.
