The Futsal National team will depart for Zambia with everything still to play for following a pulsating 6–6 draw in the first leg on home soil.

In what was an entertaining and high-tempo encounter, both sides exchanged goals in a match that showcased attacking flair, tactical intensity, and resilience.

The stalemate has set the stage for a decisive second leg, with qualification now hanging in the balance.

Head coach and technical staff have named a 14-man squad for the trip including Goalkeepers Michael Ruttmern (AMG FC) and Eugene Adjiah Sodjah (Y2K FC) will anchor the defence, while the outfield unit features key performers including Joshua Tetteh Tawiah, Prosper Ofori, Darling Adjetey, Jonas Adjei Mawuko, and Richard Boateng.

The team also welcomes contributions from clubs across the domestic futsal scene, with players drawn from AMG FC, Danac FC, Gadu FC, Stitch In Times FC, King Solomon FC, Y2K FC, and Future Soccer Academy — a testament to the growing depth of the sport in Ghana.

The team will depart Accra today February 5 to continue preparations for the fixture in Lusaka. The first-leg draw highlighted both Ghana’s attacking potential and areas requiring improvement, particularly in defensive transitions.

With momentum evenly poised after twelve goals in the opening leg, fans can expect another gripping contest when the two nations meet again for a place in the next round at stake.
