Black Stars team Doctor Prince Pambo has visited Mohammed Salisu in Monaco as part of efforts to show support to injured players of the team as Ghana builds up to the FIFA World Cup in June. Salisu, a key member of the team, is currently on rehabilitation following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury sustained during a French Ligue 1 match against Olympique Lyon in January.

Mohammed Salisu featured in seven FIFA World Cup qualifiers and scored two goals for the Black Stars en route to the World Cup in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Before the injury, Salisu had cemented his place in the Monaco squad as a regular starter, impressively stepping in for Eric Dier and Soungoutou Magassa. His commanding performances brought stability to the Monaco backline and highlighted his growing influence in the club.

The former Southampton FC defender made his debut for Ghana on 23 September 2022 as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 friendly defeat against Brazil. He scored his first goal for the Black Stars in a 2-0 friendly win against Switzerland on 17 November 2022.

Dr. Prince Pambo is expected to continue visiting players in France, where he’ll visit Francis Abu on Wednesday.

Ghana is gearing up for the World Cup in June, and efforts are being made to ensure all players are in top shape for the world’s biggest football tournament.

The Black Stars will play Panama in their opening match at the World Cup before taking on England and Croatia in the other Group L matches.
