King Faisal began their 2025/26 Access Bank Division One League campaign with a goalless draw against Skyy FC at the Ejisu Okese Park on Matchday One. The result extends Faisal’s home run to seven successive unbeaten games in the competition.
Elsewhere newly-promoted AshantiGold 04’ recorded a gritty 1-0 away win over Soccer Intellectuals at the Senya District Astroturf. Abdul Samed Yakubu’s decisive strike in the 58th minute proved the difference, and despite being reduced to ten men in the 78th minute, they held firm.
In Cape Coast, UCC Youngsters fought back to earn a dramatic 2-2 draw against Ebusua Dwarfs. Seth Micah opened the scoring for the home side in the 30th minute before Godfred Eshun levelled for Youngsters five minutes into the second half. An unfortunate own goal by Charles Oppong restored Dwarfs’ lead in the 69th minute, but Rolla Mensah struck late in the 85th minute to secure a point for UCC Youngsters. Despite the stalemate, the visitors extended their unbeaten streak to four games (W3, D1).
