December brilliance lights up Women’s Premier League player of the month race

December brilliance lights up Women’s Premier League player of the month race

Four standout individual performers in the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League have emerged as nominees for the NASCO Player of the Month award.

Agnes Yeboah (Jonina Ladies), Jessica A. Asamoah (Epiphany Warriors), Ajegipina Zakaria (Ampem Darkoa Ladies), and Abdul Rashid Faiza (FC Savannah) each left a significant mark during the month under review.

Jonina Ladies’ Agnes Yeboah enjoyed a commanding December, featuring in all three league matches and finding the back of the net on three occasions. Her all-round performances earned her two Most Valuable Player award.

At Epiphany Warriors, Jessica A. Asamoah proved that impact goes beyond goals. Though she scored once in three appearances, her work rate, tactical discipline, and ability to dictate play in crucial moments earned her two MVP awards.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies’ Ajegipina Zakaria was a lethal attacker in December. The forward registered four goals in three matche, her scoring form played a key role in Darkoa’s strong performances and earned her one MVP award.

Completing the list is Abdul Rashid Faiza of FC Savannah, whose resilience and attacking contribution stood out for the Northern Zone side. Faiza scored twice in three matches and claimed an MVP award.

Winner of the monthly award goes home with a 43″ NASCO digital satellite TV and a five-burner gas stove.
