The Ghana eFootball National Team, the Black Asteroids, have continued their impressive run in the ongoing FIFAe Mobile Regional Online Qualifiers 2025, finishing top of Group B to secure a well-deserved place in the quarterfinal stage of the competition.

Competing against some of Africa’s strongest eFootball nations, the Black Asteroids displayed remarkable consistency, tactical discipline and creativity across their group matches. Their teamwork and resilience proved decisive as they overcame stiff opposition to emerge group leaders.

Head Coach and Team Manager, Emmanuel Lawson, lauded his players for their focus and professionalism throughout the campaign.

“The boys (Marcus Serlom Setrana, Aka OG Lamar & Onesimus Sowah Arkpoh — aka Onesimus) have been focused from the start. Every match was a battle, but they executed our plans perfectly. Topping the group is a great achievement, and now we shift all our attention to the quarterfinal against Ivory Coast. said Coach Lawson.

With this achievement, Ghana continues to strengthen its footprint in the FIFAe Mobile ecosystem under the GFA’s eFootball Development Programme. Initiatives such as the GFA eTrophy Championship have been instrumental in identifying, nurturing, and developing the next generation of Ghanaian eFootball stars.

The Black Asteroids will now face Ivory Coast in the quarterfinals, setting up an exciting West African showdown that promises intensity, skill, and passion.

GFA General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), also expressed his delight at the team’s progress.

“This is another proud moment for Ghana eFootball. The Black Asteroids’ progress shows how far we’ve come as a nation in competitive gaming. The team is focused, hungry and ready to keep making history. We thank all Ghanaians for their continued support and encourage everyone to rally behind the team in the upcoming matches.”

Fans can follow the quarterfinal match live on and across the official GFA social media platforms.
