President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has been appointed as the Chairman of the FIFA Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee, one of FIFA’s most influential bodies championing the fight against racism, inequality, and discrimination in global football.

The appointment, confirmed in a letter dated October 7, 2025, and signed by FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström, will see Mr. Simeon-Okraku serve as Chairman until 2029. This recognition underscores his outstanding leadership qualities and his growing influence within international football administration.

Mr. Simeon-Okraku, who also serves as the 2nd Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), continues to be a shining symbol of Ghana’s football diplomacy and governance excellence. He holds an MBA in Football Management from the University of Liverpool (UK), a Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Trinity College (Manchester, UK), an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from Emile Woolf College (London), a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from the University of Ghana.

Before assuming the GFA Presidency, Mr. Simeon-Okraku built an impressive career portfolio, serving as Executive Chairman of Dreams FC, General Manager of Wassaman FC, Administrative Manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), and Communications and Marketing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak. He also played key roles on various GFA committees, rising from Vice Chairman to Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee as well as serving as an Executive Committee member of the GFA.

Joining him on the FIFA Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee are a diverse group of global football leaders:
• Mark Wade (Bermuda) – Vice Chairman
• Lorrelle Abrams (British Virgin Islands)
• Irene Aguiar (Spain)
• Shaikh Hassan Al-Khalifa (Bahrain)
• Rivaldo Antonio (Guinea-Bissau)
• Bennett Bailey (South Africa)
• Paul-Claude Berude (Canada)
• Isayas Jira Bosho (Ethiopia)

• Abdulhakeen Mustapha (Nigeria)
• Rakesh Naidoo (New Zealand)

• Fabrice Shema (Rwanda)
• Bounyou Sisane (Laos)
• Gaston Uribe (Bolivia)
