The teams for the 5th edition of the KGL Foundation Inter-Regional Colts Championship will arrive at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s opening ceremony and matches.

The championship kicks off on Saturday, September 20, and runs through to Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the same venue.

This 2025 tournament features an expanded 12-team field comprising U-17 selections from all 10 Regional Football Associations alongside the GFA Elite Academies (Northern and Greater Accra).

Defending champions Western Region, drawn in Group A, will open their campaign against Upper West Region. Other opening fixtures in the group include Volta Region vs. Elite Academy (Bolga) and Greater Accra vs. Northern Region, last year’s bronze medalists.

In Group B, Greater Accra Elite B face Upper East Region, Central Region meet Brong Ahafo Region and Ashanti Region square off with last year’s runners-up, Eastern Region.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday, September 25, with the grand final set for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Over the past four years, the KGL U17 Inter-Regional Championship has consistently unearthed exceptional talent, with many alumni advancing to Ghana’s junior national teams, excelling in the domestic leagues and even securing opportunities to further their development with clubs abroad.
