The Executive Council has appointed Hon. Betty Mensah as the Chairperson of the Black Queens B Management Committee, a move aimed at strengthening the leadership and administration of Ghana’s home-based senior women’s national team.

Hon. Betty Mensah, who currently serves as the Special Aide to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, is widely respected for her achievements as a public servant and advocate for women in sports and leadership. Her appointment reflects the GFA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in football administration.

Hon. Betty Mensah was a former Member of Parliament for the Afram Plains North constituency in the Eastern region of Ghana.

She also served as the Second Deputy Coordinator for the National Youth Employment from 2009 to 2013 underscoring her contribution to youth development in the country.

She will be supported by Mrs. Hilary Boaten as the Vice Chairperson. Mrs. Boaten previously served as Chairperson of the Women’s League Committee between 2019 and 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in women’s football development and administration.

Other members of the Management Committee include Prosper A. Anenyah of Epiphany Warriors, George Wiredu of Sea Sharks, and Eben Oppong, all of whom bring extensive knowledge and expertise to support the Black Queens as they continue their preparations for upcoming international assignments.

The Management Committee is responsible for ensuring effective planning, welfare, and coordination of the activities of the Black Queens B.

With Hon. Betty Mensah’s appointment, the GFA is confident that the Black Queens B will benefit from strong leadership and renewed focus as they aim to excel on the continental and global stage.
