Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil says his side will aim for revenge ahead of their epic Champion of Champions showdown against Gold Stars on Sunday August 31, 2025.
The Porcupine Warriors make the journey to the home of the Premier League champions in the highly-anticipated Super Cup match.
Gold Stars defeated Kotoko 2-1 enroute to their GHALCA Top 4 tournament triumph at the University of Ghana.
Kotoko captain and defender Samba O’Neil admits the enormity of the task but confident the Premier League record holders will overcome Gold Stars at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
“It’s going to be very very difficult, as you know, but we are getting ready for the challenge. We are coming all out for it, so we are going to take it. They scored us in the top 4, so we are coming back for revenge.” Samba O’Neil told the GFA Media.
The Champion of Champions is a curtain-raiser for the 2025-26 Premier League season, which kick start on Friday September 12.
