Black Asteroids to participate in FIFAe World Cup 2025 qualifiers

Black Asteroids to participate in FIFAe World Cup 2025 qualifiers

Ghana’s national eFootball team, popularly known as Black Asteroids, has officially signed the participation agreement for the upcoming FIFAe Nations Cup 2025 World Cup Qualifiers, set to begin in September 2025. This marks another significant milestone in the country’s growing presence in global digital football.

The Black Asteroids will compete in two different Qualifying competitions organized by FIFAe to book a place in the FIFAe World Cup in December 2025.

The signing, which took place at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters in Accra, confirms Ghana’s commitment to the international FIFAe circuit. With the FIFAe World Cup Finals scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in December 2025, the Black Asteroids are determined to represent the nation with pride, passion, and a renewed sense of purpose.

“This is a monumental step in Ghana’s eFootball roadmap. The Black Asteroids continue to be an inspiration to our youth, and we are confident they will represent the nation with pride,” said Prosper Harrison Addo (Esq.), General Secretary, Ghana Football Association.

“The Black Asteroids continue to be a symbol of innovation and youth empowerment through digital sport. Signing the agreement is not just an administrative milestone.it is a call to action for the team and for all Ghanaians to rally behind our digital ambassadors on the global stage,” he said.

The qualifiers, which are expected to attract top teams from across the world, will determine the best of the best that will compete in Riyadh for ultimate glory. For Ghana, this tournament represents more than just a chance at international silverware.it is an opportunity to showcase the country’s emerging dominance in the world of eSports, particularly in Africa.

Ghana’s eFootball Manager, Emmanuel Lawson, expressed excitement about the road ahead:

“We’ve been working hard as a unit, improving our synergy and strategy. Qualifying for the FIFAe World Cup is our goal, and we’re going to give it everything to make Ghana proud.”

Ghana’s eFootball department, under the supervision of the GFA has ramped up preparations ahead of the qualifiers. Local trials, boot camps, and international friendlies are being arranged to sharpen the team’s skills and build chemistry.

As the countdown to September begins, the hopes of an entire nation rest on the digital shoulders of the Black Asteroids. With Riyadh in their sights and the world watching, Ghana’s eFootball dream is alive and ready to rise.
