The Free Licence D Coaching Course for Colts club coaches is set to kick start in the Ashanti Region, with the training programme scheduled to take place from Wednesday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 7, 2025.

This vital coaching course will be held at the Opoku Ware Senior High School in the Ashanti Region and will provide juvenile coaches with the foundational tools and knowledge required to effectively train and develop young football talents.

The initiative forms part of the GFA’s national grassroots development strategy aimed at raising coaching standards across all regions.

Participants will undergo comprehensive training in both theoretical and practical aspects of football coaching, covering topics such as player development, grassroots coaching philosophy, football tactics, injury prevention, and child safeguarding. The course will be led by certified CAF/GFA instructors under the supervision of the GFA Technical Directorate.

Upon successful completion, all participants will be awarded the CAF/GFA Licence D Certificate, officially qualifying them to coach at the juvenile level. The ARFA has encouraged all Colts clubs in the region to ensure their coaches take part in this free, capacity-building programme.

The Ashanti Region’s edition of the Free Licence D Course adds to the GFA’s growing list of successful grassroots training programmes and highlights the Association’s unwavering commitment to building a strong and professional foundation for the future of Ghana football.
