The West African Football Union (WAFU) has appointed Senior Manager, Communications, Abdul Kadir Tophic, as the Media Officer for the upcoming 2025 U20 WAFU B Championship.
The regional tournament is set to take place from July 10 to July 23 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Ghana.
Tophic brings to the role vast experience in media and communications, having served in various capacities within the Ghanaian football ecosystem and beyond.
Currently the Senior Manager in charge of Communications at the GFA, Tophic has played a pivotal role in shaping the public image and communications strategy of Ghana football.
His appointment is seen as a strong vote of confidence in Ghana’s organisational capacity as host of the regional showpiece.
The U20 WAFU B Championship will see national teams from across West Africa compete for supremacy in youth football.
The Championship, set to kick off on Thursday July 10, 2025, will be staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
