The Danish wonderkid explained that one of the main reasons behind his decision to choose for Gunners can be credited to coach Mikel Arteta. The influence of Arsenal’s boss on 18-year-old Nygaard impacted his decision to go for the Gunners. The Gunners boss is known for uplifting and developing young talents in the senior team. Take the example of players like Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Lewis Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri. Having developed themselves under the guidance of Gunner’s boss. The club’s idea of taking in young players includes academy players and young signings. Directly into the main team made the choice for the 18-year-old easier. Describing the vision for development with long-term to a player’s future as “inspirational” and “convincing”. The Gunner’s record in recent times of giving youngster the perfect time on the pitch along with the main team was the main difference.

According to him choosing the Gunners last summer over the other teams like Juventus, PSG, and Monaco. It was not only about the minutes, he would be getting on the pitch but also about the long-term growth. At the Gunners, he saw a project that valued the progress of the player over anything along with patience. While PSG offered a deal for a high sum deal the language gap was the main issue that made the Dane reject it. As for Juventus and Monaco, they also provided him with a chance. He stated that the Gunners are one of the biggest teams in the world and have the best training for youth development. He also pointed out detailed and structured benefits he found along the lines of the Gunners. That includes training with top players from the senior team like Martin Ødegaard and David Raya providing crucial experience.

Another main reason that led the Danish wonder kid to join the North London side was because of the Premier League. It is considered the best and most competitive league in not just Europe but across the world. As the league offers a good experience for growth for the young players filled with challenges. He admitted that he grew up watching Premier League football matches and dreams of playing in the iconic venues and stadiums across England.
