The group pairings for the 2026 X1 Division One League (DOL) Super Cup has been decided following a meeting held by the competitions department, the DOL Super Cup Committee and the participating clubs, setting the stage for an exciting tournament featuring eight of the country’s top-performing Division One clubs.
The competition, which will be staged at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, will see the qualified clubs battle for supremacy in two groups of four before progressing to the knockout phase.
Group A promises thrilling encounters with Debibi United FC, Port City FC, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs FC, and Attram De Visser FC all drawn together. The group features a blend of experienced campaigners and ambitious clubs eager to make a strong statement ahead of the new Division One League season.
In Group B, FC AshantiGold 04, Tamale City FC, Semper Fi FC, and Nsuopon Fidelity FC will compete for the two available semi-final spots. With each side enjoying an impressive qualifying campaign, the group is expected to produce highly competitive fixtures.
The 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup brings together the best clubs from the three Division One League zones, as well as the two highest-ranked third-placed teams, providing an ideal platform for clubs to assess their squads, integrate new players, and prepare for the upcoming league season.
This year’s tournament also marks a new era following the partnership between the Ghana Football Association and X1 Energy Drink, the headline sponsor of the competition under a five-year agreement. The sponsorship reflects the GFA’s commitment to strengthening domestic football through strategic partnerships and increased corporate investment.
The Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, one of Ghana’s premier football venues, is expected to provide a fitting stage for the tournament, with football fans anticipating entertaining matches and the emergence of new talents.
