Legendary India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was recently seen in Chandigarh with Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill, sparking rumours of a possible coaching or mentorship role with the team ahead of the IPL 2025 Playoffs. The timing is crucial as GT aim to bounce back from two straight losses and push for their second IPL title.
The Gujarat Titans’ official social media page added to the buzz by posting a photo of Yuvraj and Shubman walking together. The post was captioned, “Ki haal chaal, #TitansFAM?” This light-hearted message has triggered a wave of speculation among fans and cricket followers about Yuvraj possibly joining the team in an advisory role.

Yuvraj Singh has had a strong bond with GT skipper Shubman Gill for a long time
GT are currently second in the points table and have already secured a playoff spot. However, their final standing depends on the result of the last league match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). If RCB win, they will move to Qualifier 1, which would send GT to the Eliminator round instead.
Before the start of IPL 2025, there were already reports suggesting that Yuvraj might join GT’s support staff. His close friendship with head coach Ashish Nehra and strong bond with Shubman Gill had led many to expect his involvement. Yuvraj also played a key role in helping Gill improve his batting during the COVID-19 lockdown.
GT have won nine out of their 14 matches this season but are heading into the playoffs on the back of two defeats. Bringing in someone like Yuvraj Singh, who has won the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and two IPL titles, could give the team a much-needed boost in both confidence and performance.
