The Football Association has confirmed the retention of Wilson Arthur as Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, continuing his leadership of one of the country’s most prestigious domestic competitions.

Arthur, who has successfully overseen recent editions of the MTN FA Cup, will be assisted by Frank Nelson Nwokolo, former Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, who has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the committee.

The GFA also announced the members of the committee, which include former Black Stars player Afo Dodoo. Afo Dodoo is a former Obuasi Goldfields player who played for the senior national team between 1994 and 1996 and also represented Ghana at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atalanta.

Other members of the committee are President of Okwawu United FC Emmanuel Akoto Bamfo, former Legon Cities General Manager Kwabena Asenso, President of FC AshantiGold ’04 Eric Agyemang, and President of Cheetah FC Abdul Hayye Yartey. Together, they bring a blend of experience, football expertise, and administrative skill to support the competition’s continued growth.

The MTN FA Cup Committee is tasked with overseeing the organization, planning, and execution of the MTN FA Cup competition, which remains one of Ghana’s oldest and most competitive knockout tournaments.

The retention of Wilson Arthur and the appointment of this diverse team underline the Association’s commitment to strengthening the FA Cup brand and delivering an exciting, well-organized competition for clubs and fans across the country.
