Lionel Messi could play in the Copa Libertadores before ending his club career, with Inter Miami boss Kily Gonzalez saying the possibility of the forward participating in the competition has been considered for several years.
Speaking after Inter Miami’s 4-0 win over DC United, Gonzalez said it would be amazing to see Messi compete in the tournament, with the title missing from the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner’s trophy cabinet.
