Virat Kohli is undoubtedly one of the most revered cricketers in the world. He is loved by cricket enthusiasts across every age group. Kohli is also very appreciative of the love and support he gets from his fans. He is often seen taking time out to greet his fans, posing patiently for selfies and giving autographs. However, there could be rare instances when celebrities, even as kind as the former India captain, can’t attend to everyone.

Recently, a video went viral from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) team hotel in which a young boy tries to get an autograph on his bat from the legendary cricketer. Kohli couldn’t notice the little kid amid all the security around him. He also had his earphones on and probably failed to hear the young fan’s desperate plea. The security personnel denied the boy a fan moment, and he was later seen crying as he threw his bat on the floor.

Check out the video below:

How has Virat Kohli fared in IPL 2026?

Virat Kohli is having another exemplary season with the bat in IPL 2026. In eight innings, Kohli has amassed 351 runs at an average of 58.50 and a strike rate of 162.50. In IPL 2016, he won the Orange Cap for the first time. This year, if he finishes with more runs than any other batter in IPL 2026, he will become the first Indian player to win the Orange Cap thrice and second overall.

The Royal Challengers have also been justifying the tag of defending champions in IPL 2026. In eight games, they have won six and find themselves at No. 2 on the points table. They outplayed the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday, April 27. The Rajat Patidar-led side bowled out the hosts for 75 before finishing the match with nine wickets and 81 balls to spare.
