Lionel Messi appeared to ignore self-professed Cristiano Ronaldo fan iShowSpeed ahead of Inter Miami’s FIFA Club World Cup clash against Al-Ahly. The MLS side locked horns with the Egyptian club at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, June 14.
Interestingly, IShowSpeed was in the stadium, and uploaded the video of him getting ignored by La Pulga. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner was seen sharing a moment with former Real Madrid defender Pepe ahead of the game.
The Argentinean maestro also shook hands with former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Youri Djorkaeff. However, Lionel Messi walked away before acknowledging Speed, who appeared at a loss for words at catching a glimpse of the Argentinean.

The game turned out to be a pulsating affair, with Al-Ahly coming close to scoring a couple of times in the first half. Inter Miami goalkeeper Oscar Ustari turned out to be the hero, thwarting the opposition on multiple occasions and even saving Trezeguet’s penalty.
The Herons picked up the pace after the break, with Lionel Messi testing Al Ahly’s Mohamed El Shenawy from distance, and Fafa Picault coming close in the final minutes. However, the two teams ultimately settled for a 0-0 draw.
IShowSpeed believes that Cristiano Ronaldo’s proven expertise in multiple leagues makes him better than Lionel Messi. Speaking on CBS Sports in March this year, alongside Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards, the YouTuber labeled the Portuguese as the GOAT.
Interestingly, IShowSpeed forgot that the Argentinean spent two seasons with PSG, winning the Ligue 1 twice, and is now playing in the MLS. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher pointed out that Messi had more Ballon d’Or trophies than Cristiano Ronaldo, but the YouTuber was having none of it.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not participating in this year’s FIFA Club World Cup.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina’s glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
