David Miller pummelled a 106 metre six off Prasidh Krishna in Delhi Capitals’ match against Gujarat Titans at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium in IPL 2026 on April 8.

The fixture went down to the wire, with the Capitals falling short by an agonising margin of one run in a 210-run chase despite spectacular knocks from openers KL Rahul (92 off 51) and Pathum Nissanka (41 off 24) before Miller’s valiant unbeaten 41 off 20.

The hosts needed a miracle, and it was seemingly Titans’ game to lose, with 36 required off the last 12 balls. However, Miller unfurled his brutal self against Mohammed Siraj in the 23-run penultimate over, volleying 6, 4, 6, with Vipraj Nigam also finding a boundary on the fifth ball after a single on the fourth.

Those pyrotechnics eased the pressure significantly, distilling the equation to nine needed off the final over. Vipraj, who was on strike after a single on the final ball, sliced Prasidh over mid-off for a four but skied one to Gill at extra cover on the next ball to bring Kuldeep Yadav in the middle. Kuldeep dabbed the ball to deep third to bring Miller back on strike, and the southpaw dispatched Prasidh for a monstrous six over long-off, sending the ball out of the ground.

The momentum swung for the umpteenth time as Prasidh followed with a dot, with Miller denying Kuldeep for a single to retain the strike. With two needed of the last ball, Prasidh went short and slow; Miller attempted a pull but made no contact. The duo tried sneaking in a single, but wicketkeeper Sai Sudharsan under-armed the ball and caught Kuldeep short of his ground to secure a win by the barest of margins.
