Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) replacement signing Blessing Muzarabani showed his class in the one-off Test match against England, finishing with figures of 3 for 143, which included the big scalps of Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Harry Brook. The 28-year-old looked in good touch even as other bowlers struggled against an aggressive England lineup.
Muzarabani trapped Root and Stokes with well-directed bouncers as both the batters failed execute the pull and ended up giving a catch to fine leg. Brook’s wicket came off a short of a length delivery outside the off-stump, which the batter chopped onto his stumps in an attempt to guide the ball towards third-man.
Muzarabani made an impression ahead of a potential IPL debut as he has been signed as a replacement for South African pacerĀ Lungi Ngidi in the playoffs for RCB. If he plays, Muzarabani will become the fourth Zimbabwean to feature in the IPL after Tatenda Taibu, Ray Price and Sikandar Raza.Ā
