For most of the season, the New York Yankees have desperately missed the offensive production of their captain, Aaron Judge. As the slugger was placed on the IL due to a calf muscle strain on Sep. 16, fans feared he may end up missing the first series of the postseason against the Boston Red Sox.
Those fears were confirmed on Tuesday, as popular content page “Talkin’ Yanks” posted to X, announcing that Judge will not be a part of the Yankees’ roster for the Wild Card series.
