Head Coach of the Black Starlets, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has made five changes to his starting line-up ahead of their crucial final group match against Niger in the ongoing WAFU B U17 Boys Championship.

Dr. Ogum has reshuffled his squad as the team seeks a decisive win to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive.

Goalkeeper Solomon Kwame Kesse retains his place between the sticks, maintaining consistency at the back.

However, the defensive unit has been tweaked, with Mujahid Osman coming in for George Clinton while Gabriel Denyinah returns to the line-up after serving a suspension from his early dismissal in the opening game against Togo. Rashidan Yakubu and Kingsley Fosu complete the backline.

In midfield, Dr. Ogum has introduced fresh legs, bringing in Augustine Appiah to replace Ernest Ofori and Hakeem Kasim to take the place of Mark Aboagye. Both players will line up alongside Michael Awuli and captain Joseph Narbi, who is expected to anchor the midfield and drive play forward in this must-win encounter.

The attack also sees a shake-up with Mark Kagawa Mensah earning a start ahead of Eric Adu Gyamfi. He will partner Robinho Yao Gavi upfront as Ghana looks to sharpen its cutting edge in front of goal and capitalize on scoring opportunities.

The Black Starlets, two-time FIFA U17 world champions, have shown promise but know that only a victory against Niger will give them a realistic chance of progressing from their group.

Dr. Ogum’s tactical adjustments underline the urgency of the occasion as his charges prepare for what promises to be a high-intensity clash.

The Black Starlets will be banking on their renewed line-up, resilience and attacking flair to deliver the result that keeps their WAFU B U17 Championship campaign alive.
