The Volta Regional Football Association is set to host the much-anticipated 2025 Colts (Juvenile) U15 and U17 Inter-District Festival from June 25 to 29, bringing together the brightest young footballing talents from across the region. The annual event will feature 16 district teams competing for glory and the title of regional champions in both age categories.

Group stage matches for the five-day football festival will be spread across two key venues in the regional capital. Groups A and B will thrill fans at the Ho Sports Stadium, while Groups C and D will battle it out at the state-of-the-art Ho Youth Resource Centre. The strategic use of these venues highlights the VFA’s commitment to utilizing top-tier facilities for youth development.

This year’s edition promises intense action and heightened competitiveness as each of the 16 participating districts vies for bragging rights and the opportunity to unearth the next generation of Ghanaian football stars. The festival serves as a major talent identification platform, with scouts and regional coaches expected to be in attendance.

Speaking ahead of the kickoff, Volta FA Chairman Daniel Agbogah emphasized the significance of the tournament. “The Colts Festival is the heartbeat of our youth development efforts,” he noted. “It’s not just about winning, but also about discovering and nurturing talents who will soon be representing the region and the country.”

Beyond the pitch, the festival is also expected to foster camaraderie among districts, promote discipline among the youth, and reinforce the values of fair play and teamwork that underpin the sport.
