Virat Kohli’s return to his very best has coincided with a surge back to the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings for the first time in nearly five years on Wednesday. Kohli’s ascent to the top of the ODI batting rankings was confirmed by the latest rankings update unveiled by the ICC shortly before India’s second match of the ongoing series against New Zealand at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
