Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again showed everyone why he is regarded as the next big thing in Indian cricket during the clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in Match 13 of IPL 2026 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on April 7.  

Facing Jasprit Bumrah, one of the world’s premier pacers, Sooryavanshi showed no hesitation against agurably the world’s best bowler. Bumrah slightly missed his length and landed the ball in the slot, and the youngster made him pay instantly in what was the first ball he faced from the bowler. Sooryavanshi, with his high backlift, flicked thet beautifully over wide long-on for a stunning six.

What followed made it even more impressive, as Sooryavanshi went on to smash another maximum off Bumrah in the same over, putting the veteran under rare pressure. Bumrah could only smile and walk back to his mark, acknowledging the audacity and execution.

It was a fearless statement from the youngster, proving he’s ready for the big stage. In total, Vaibhav scored 13 runs off Bumrah in five balls, including two sixes.
