Mike Florio believes the NFL Players Association cannot afford to appear complicit in a potential cover-up surrounding Jalen Hurts’ medical condition. The NBC Sports analyst’s criticism comes as the league and the union jointly investigate how the Philadelphia Eagles handled the quarterback’s blood clot diagnosis.
According to ESPN, the NFL and NFLPA confirmed Sunday, October 25, that they would review the medical decisions surrounding Hurts’ condition. Florio questioned not only the medical decisions but also the organization’s communication after details of Hurts’ condition became public.
