Tottenham Hotspur could allegedly lodge an offer to rope in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford should they fail to sign Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo this summer.
Since the start of this June, Mbeumo has reportedly popped up as a top target for the Red Devils. He was subject to an opening potential offer of £55 million from the Red Devils, who were rejected by Brentford. Now, he has also reportedly attracted attention from Spurs after Thomas Frank’s Brentford exit.
Now, according to Caught Offside, Tottenham are interested in roping in Rashford in the near future. Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United are also keen to add the Englishman to their ranks.
Rashford, who allegedly has a poor relationship with Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, is expected to leave the Red Devils soon. He is believed to be willing to take a pay cut to depart his boyhood club.
Last season, Rashford recorded seven goals and three assists in 24 total outings for Manchester United. He contributed four goals and six assists in 17 overall games for Aston Villa during his short-term loan stint.
Earlier in April, Manchester United found themselves linked with Eintracht Frankfurt shot-stopper Kaua Santos. As per Sport Bild, Red Devils director of recruitment Christopher Vivell met with Frankfurt CEO Markus Krosche to discuss a potential £51 million move.
During a chat with German outlet Die Welt, Santos was asked to provide his two cents on his future at Frankfurt. The 22-year-old Brazilian replied (h/t Metro):
Asked if he is aiming to win trophies at Frankfurt, Santos responded:
So far, Santos has kept three shutouts in 14 total matches for Frankfurt.
