Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey may leave the Gunners this summer. As contract renewal talks with the club have failed and are stalled. Partey joined the Gunners from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for a fee of £45 million. Playing for the North London side since 2020 the player is currently in the final days of his contract with the Gunners. While both sides have held multiple rounds of talks no agreements have been reached from both either sides. Reports are now stating that the Gunners may be ready to sell Partey under contract. As they would not like to avoid losing him on a free transfer after his contract expires. This news has spread widespread insights about the player’s next move to any other club. As the Gunners hoped to retain him for the next season. But are now ready to sell him before his contract ends.

In his time at North London, Thomas Partey has played an important role in Mikel Arteta’s midfield room. He is known for his physical strength, ball control, and ability to stop counterattacks. Over the years he has been seen as a player who can help the Gunners control the midfield in intense matches. Over his time at the Emirates, he has faced multiple setbacks with injuries. But has made himself available each time after making a comeback from injury. When fully fit he becomes an important pillar for the Gunners in their race to major glory. This season he has made a strong partnership with Declan Rice in the midfield of the Gunners. Making himself one of the favorite players to retain his contract at the Emirates and continue for the next season. As his presence in the field is a valuable asset for the Gunners.

The main reason for this potential exit is about the contract talks that are facing a stalemate. Both the players and the club’s parties are open to settling the terms and continue to talk but are not getting any results. The final resolution for agreements between both parties seems unlikely to be reached in the near future. The latest update suggests that talks have hit a significant roadblock. As reported by the Daily Mail, the talks with both the parties have turned out to be unproductive with no results. With a lot less expectation to this potential deal to reach an agreement in a short time. Thomas Partey is now ready to leave the North Londoners after staying for 5 years with the Gunners.

There is already a high reported interest from Saudi’s RSL for Thomas Partey. They are ready to meet any demands from the player’s side and have already agreed to meet and increase the Gunner’s valuation for him. This provides a golden transfer opportunity for Partey. Clubs from Turkey and Italy have also inquired their eyes on the defensive midfielder. But have not reached the financial pay scale coming from the Saudi Pro League clubs. For Partey this move can be a very big step in his career. As he reaches the end of his career soon a move to Saudi can be a very good offer in terms of securing his future.

While Partey has played an important part in his time in the Gunners for the previous seasons he played for them. As the talks have hit a roadblock it might be better for both the sides to move on. For Arsenal the incoming of new younger players like Zubimendi can be a perfect replacement for Partey roles at the team. As for Partey a move to Saudi will be a good choice in terms from a financial standpoint.

Congratulations, Thomas Partey! 🇬🇭👏 pic.twitter.com/kTqyw2oEVC
