Ravindra Jadeja’s return to the ODI squad after last featuring in the series against New Zealand in January adds another dimension to India’s preparations. The all-rounder brings experience and versatility to the middle order and bowling attack.

“Ravindra Jadeja will have to, of course, take wickets and score runs. Fielding has always been his strong suit,” Chopra said.

The West Indies series also provides opportunities for other squad members to stake their claim ahead of the World Cup. With selection decisions still being finalised, every performance carries significant weight.

“Not all of them will go to South Africa. So, someone will be left out, and therefore, every time you get an opportunity, you have to grab it with both hands,” Chopra said.
