Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha reckons head coach Michael Carrick, and not the players, is to blame for the club’s recent struggles, following their EFL Cup opening -round elimination in midweek to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Making multiple changes to the side that lost 1-0 at home to 10-man Manchester City in the Premier League at the weekend, Carrick saw his side take a two-goal lead against Brighton inside 10 minutes at Old Trafford, thanks to Shea Lacey and Mason Mount strikes.
