The Southpaw, who was picked by RR for INR 2.40 crore in 2020, has gone on to become the league’s most consistent and dependable opener. In the IPL 2025 season, he finished as Rajasthan’s top run-scorer with 559 runs from 14 matches, averaging 43.00 with a strike rate of 159.71.

In the six seasons played, he has managed to hammer 2,166 runs in 67 IPL matches at a strike rate of 152.85, including 15 half-centuries and two centuries. His performances also led him to a spot in the Indian team across all formats.

Notably, he was the second-highest run-scorer in Tests in 2024 and is now preparing for his first Test tour of England.Ā Meanwhile, Jaiswal had also considered moving from Mumbai to Goa in domestic cricket before eventually deciding to continue with Mumbai.
