According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City forward Jack Grealish could move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The Englishman has struggled for minutes in Pep Guardiola’s side recently and was omitted from the Cityzens’ squad for the expanded Club World Cup.
Grealish is said to have admirers at Bayer Leverkusen, who look set to receive a windfall from the imminent sale of Florian Wirtz to Liverpool. Grealish is about to enter the final 24 months of his deal with City, and as such, isn’t expected to command a massive fee for the German side.
Grealish joined Manchester City in the summer of 2021 from his boyhood club Aston Villa for a reported £100 million (€117.5 million). He has represented the Sky Blues 157 times across competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing 23 assists. His contract with the side runs until the summer of 2027.
