Kwasi Sibo, Alexander Djiku, and Joseph Paintsil were in full swing on Saturday as the Black Stars continued their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group I qualifier against Mali. The trio, who missed the game against Chad on Thursday, gives Head Coach Otto Addo more options going into the crucial match.

Sibo joined the squad on Saturday, while Djiku and Paintsil reported to camp on Friday. With their arrival, Otto Addo will have a stronger team to host the Eagles of Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The Black Stars currently lead Group I with 16 points after seven qualifying games and need the points to keep their qualification hopes alive after the draw with Chad on Thursday. The match against Mali is scheduled for 7 p.m. kick off on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
