Mid-table side King Faisal ended their two-game scoreless losing streak in Zone Two with an impressive 3-1 victory over UCC Youngsters at the Robert Mensah Park in Cape Coast on Saturday — a result that also confirmed the hosts’ relegation to the third tier. Benjamin Bature opened the scoring in the 6th minute before doubling the advantage in the 39th minute to hand King Faisal a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime. UCC Youngsters pulled one back through Rolla Mensah in the 67th minute, but Mohammed Tetteh restored the visitors’ two-goal cushion from the penalty spot six minutes later to seal the win. The victory moves King Faisal to eighth place in Zone Two with 40 points.

Sefwi All Stars FC recorded their 15th victory of the season after cruising to a commanding 5-1 win over Sekondi Eleven Wise. The heavy defeat leaves Sekondi Eleven Wise stuck in the automatic relegation zone heading into the final matchday of the campaign. Bismark Akowuah opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Ebenezer Okrah added the second eight minutes later. Akowuah completed his brace in the 45th minute to hand the hosts a dominant 3-0 lead at the break.

Ebenezer Okrah also grabbed his second goal of the game in the 75th minute before Justice Mensah pulled one back for Sekondi Eleven Wise in the 82nd minute. Emmanuel Kwarteng later rounded off the emphatic victory with a stoppage-time strike. The win lifts Sefwi All Stars to fourth place in Zone Two with 47 points.

Meanwhile, Police National boosted their survival hopes in the Access Bank Division One League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over top-half side Sekondi Rospak SC at the Senya District Assembly Astro Turf on Saturday. Forward Mohammed Sulley starred for the hosts with a brace, opening the scoring in the 8th minute before adding his second goal in the 60th minute. Sekondi Rospak SC reduced the deficit late on through John Amoah in the 82nd minute, but Police National held firm to secure all three points.

Despite the crucial win, Police National remain in the relegation zone with 32 points, just one point away from safety with one game left to play.
