Real Madrid are preparing to participate in this month’s FIFA Club World Cup. The tournament will mark the debut of Xabi Alonso, who took charge as Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement last month.
Meanwhile, Los Blancos are interested in a Juventus striker. Elsewhere, the Spanish giants are close to securing the services of Alvaro Carreras.
On that note, let’s look at the major Real Madrid transfer stories from June 6, 2025.
Real Madrid are interested in Dusan Vlahovic, according to Fichajes.net. The LaLiga giants are looking for a traditional No. 9 to complete their attack this summer.
The Serbian striker has emerged as an option, and Los Blancos supposedly believe that the player could add another dimension to their attack. Vlahovic hasn’t been in his element of late for Juventus, but his stock remains high.
The 25-year-old registered 15 goals and five assists from 41 games across competitions for the Bianconeri this season. He is under contract with the Serie A side until 2026, and is likely to cost around €70 million.
Real Madrid have held internal discussions about taking Vlahovic to the Santiago Bernabeu. Should the player be ready to join the club, Los Blancos could move for him this summer.
Real Madrid are close to reaching an agreement with Benfica for the services of Alvaro Carreras, according to MARCA. The Spanish left-back has been very impressive for the Portuguese club this season and is wanted by the Santiago Bernabeu.
Carreras has already agreed on personal terms ahead of a move, but it was previously stated that negotiations between the two clubs have hit a standstill. A breakthrough, however, has now been reached. Los Blancos will reportedly trigger the 22-year-old’s €50 million release clause, and Benfica will allow him to join in time to feature at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is unlikely to leave Arsenal this summer amid interest from Real Madrid, according to journalist Charles Watts. The English left-back exploded onto the scene at the Emirates this season, but his contract expires in 2026.
However, in his column for Caught Offside, Watts stated that Lewis-Skelly is likely to sign an extension.
He continued:
He concluded:
Lewis-Skelly has registered 39 appearances for Arsenal’s senior side, registering one goal and two assists.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina’s glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
