Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 42 runs at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow in the 65th match of IPL 2025, played on May 24.

Here are the top three highlights from today’s RCB vs SRH clash in the IPL 2025:

Ishan Kishan’s Brilliant Knock

Ishan Kishan played a sensational unbeaten innings, scoring 94 runs off just 48 balls at a strike rate of 195.83. His knock included seven fours and five sixes. He built crucial partnerships with Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, and Pat Cummins, adding 48, 43, and 43 runs respectively. His efforts were instrumental in SRH posting a formidable total of 231/6 in their 20 overs. For his outstanding performance, Ishan was named Player of the Match.

RCB’s Opening Partnership

RCB’s chase got off to a strong start with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli at the crease. The duo powered the team to 72 runs during the powerplay. Kohli scored 43 runs off 25 balls at a strike rate of 172, including seven boundaries and one six, before being dismissed with the team total at 80. Salt continued the momentum with a 32-ball 62 at a strike rate of 193.75, featuring four fours and five sixes. However, after their dismissals, RCB lost momentum.

SRH’s Overall Bowling Performance

SRH’s bowling unit delivered a collective performance, with every bowler picking up at least one wicket. Captain Pat Cummins led from the front, claiming three vital wickets. He dismissed Phil Salt and then returned in the 19th over to take out Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya. Cummins finished with impressive figures of 3/28 from four overs at an economy rate of 7.00. Eshan Malinga also stood out, ending with 2/37 from his four overs.
