In the 65th match of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) delivered a strong performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), posting a massive total of 231/6 in 20 overs. The match was held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Despite being out of the playoff race, SRH showed no signs of slowing down and played with full intent.

The star of the innings was Ishan Kishan, who played a sensational unbeaten knock of 94 runs off 48 balls. He struck seven boundaries and five sixes at an impressive strike rate of 195.83. Ishan played a smart innings—rotating the strike when needed and unleashing big hits at the right moments. He stayed till the end, ensuring SRH finished strong.

With this innings, Ishan Kishan now has 325 runs from 13 innings in IPL 2025

Abhishek Sharma gave SRH a quick start with a fiery 34 off 17 balls, while Travis Head contributed 17 runs. Aniket Sharma added a rapid 26 off just 9 deliveries, and skipper Pat Cummins chipped in with 13 off 6 balls. The team maintained a fast scoring rate throughout, even as wickets fell.

RCB’s bowling attack struggled to contain the flow of runs. Romario Shepherd was the only standout performer, taking 2 wickets for just 14 runs. The rest of the bowlers proved expensive, especially Lungi Ngidi and Suyash Sharma, who conceded 51 and 45 runs respectively.

RCB now face a steep chase of 232 runs to win. Currently sitting in second place on the points table, their spot in the top two is still not secured. A win in this match is crucial if they want to finish in the top two and gain the advantage of two chances to reach the final.
